A MESSAGE FROM OUR BISHOP
Bishop Leonard Fairley, Resident Bishop of the Louisville Area (which includes the Kentucky Conference in the Southeastern Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church), shares his guidelines for re-entry to in-person worship in the embedded document below. These guidelines include distinct phases in which churches are asked to take these recommendations, as well as those from the office of the Governor, into consideration.

HOW WE GLORIFY
Through the Word
At First Church, we celebrate God’s presence through the delivery of the written Word. All services center around the delivery of God’s Word to us and our lives are transformed through the messages that challenge us in our daily walk.

HOW WE GROW
At First Church, we believe that growth is important. That’s why we offer multiple opportunities to study the Word and grow closer to God. Sunday School classes are offered for all ages each week from 9:55am-10:45am to learn, fellowship, and grow together. Groups and Bible studies are available throughout the week for those that want to dig even deeper. Click here to return to our purpose.
HOW WE GO
SERVING OUR CHURCH
Whether it’s making sure the audio and media for worship services run as smoothly as possible or greeting people as they walk in, First Church has many ways for you to be a part of delivering God’s message and serving others.
SERVING OUR CITY
Serving others is a huge part of First Church, but we also like to take the church outside the building. We are involved in projects with several local agencies and organizations, dedicated to making Frankfort a better place than we found it. Current projects include serving at the ACCESS Soup Kitchen, volunteering at the Franklin County Emergency Food Pantry, visiting inmates at the local jail, and helping children at the Kings Center.
SERVING OUR WORLD
First Church is proud to serve the city of Frankfort, but even prouder to serve the world around it. Our members are involved in several projects, including an annual Honduras Medical Mission trip and responses to United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) opportunities, that go beyond our church and community to make an impact on the world at large.
