Showing up matters.

GAP is our unhoused ministry, building relationships with people in our community who are experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or financial hardship.

Through friendship, practical support, and connections with other local organizations, we walk alongside our neighbors through difficult seasons of life.

Sometimes that means helping someone find a resource. Sometimes it means sitting down and listening. Sometimes it means making a phone call, helping someone navigate a difficult situation, or simply remembering their name.

Talk With GAP

Relationships matter.

GAP is about more than meeting immediate needs. It is about showing up, building trust, and walking alongside our neighbors.

We believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and care. We may not always be able to provide everything someone needs, but we can listen, be honest about what we can do, and help connect people with others who may be able to help.

The relationship comes first.

Sometimes ministry looks like a conversation. Sometimes it looks like a connection to a resource. Sometimes it looks like simply being there. Every moment gives us another opportunity to see one another as children of God.

A commitment to one another.

GAP is built on a mutual commitment between our team and our Friends. We promise to care for you with compassion and honesty, and we ask the same honesty and respect in return.

We Promise

  • To see you as a child of God
  • To care for you in the name of Jesus
  • To offer some assistance, as our resources allow
  • To listen to your difficulties and your celebrations
  • To be open about our limitations and guidelines
  • To pray with you and for you

You Promise

  • To be truthful in your need for assistance
  • To listen as we share what we can and cannot do
  • To use Kroger cards for food and personal or family needs
  • To avoid legal indictments while receiving our help
  • To accept the dates we set for return for assistance
