Anna's Friends

You don't have to walk alone.

Anna's Friends is a fellowship and support group for widows and widowers. It is a place to find friendship, companionship, encouragement, and support as you navigate life after the loss of a spouse.

We gather to share meals, spend time together, talk, laugh, remember, and simply enjoy being with people who understand.

Sometimes we gather because there is something to celebrate. Sometimes we gather because someone needs a friend. And sometimes there is no particular reason at all. We just know that life is better when we do not have to walk through it alone.

Friendship Matters

More than a support group. We're friends.

Anna's Friends is a place to find people who understand, but it is also a place to laugh, make plans, share a meal, try something new, and enjoy life together.

Sometimes we talk about the hard things. Sometimes we don't. Sometimes we cook. Sometimes we go out to eat. Sometimes we take a trip. Sometimes we simply sit around a table and catch up.

Whatever we are doing, we do it together.

Showing Up

Friendship means showing up.

Anna's Friends offers companionship and support through life's changing seasons. We celebrate together, help one another, make memories, and make sure no one has to face everything alone.

Sometimes showing up means listening. Sometimes it means sharing a meal. Sometimes it means helping in the kitchen, checking in on a friend, or making plans for the next adventure.

Life Together

There is still so much life to share.

Anna's Friends makes room for the whole of life. We eat together, travel together, serve together, celebrate together, and make room for plenty of laughter along the way.

Coming Up

Upcoming Anna's Friends Gatherings

Anna's Friends makes plenty of room for getting together throughout the year. From day trips and meals to holiday outings, these are opportunities to enjoy good company, make memories, and spend time with friends.

Saturday, September 12 9:30 a.m.

Old Friends Tour & Lunch in Georgetown

Anna's Friends will travel to Georgetown for a tour of Old Friends, followed by lunch together at Galvin's. It will be a chance to get out for the day, enjoy a new experience, share a meal, and spend time together.

Tour: $15
Meet at the Brighton Park ATM at 9:30 a.m. If you paid for the previous Old Friends trip, you do not need to pay again. Please let Tonya know if you plan to attend.

Beaumont Inn

Anna's Friends and Triple L will spend the day together at Beaumont Inn. Enjoy good food, conversation, fellowship, and time away together for a special fall outing.

Cost: $10 plus $18.95, tax, and gratuity
Leaving at 10:30 a.m. Please sign up by October 15.

Lights Under Louisville

Anna's Friends will enjoy a holiday outing to Lights Under Louisville. Come enjoy the Christmas lights, the holiday season, and time together with friends.

Details will be shared as plans are finalized.

Churchwide Caroling Party

Anna's Friends can join the church for an evening of Christmas caroling and fellowship. Come sing, celebrate the season, and enjoy time together with friends from across the church.

You do not have to know anyone before you come. You do not have to have the right words. You do not have to know exactly what you need. Just come and be part of the group.
